The first week we were open we had a staff meeting and Margo said "I want you all to please be nice to my patients." That practice grew by leaps and bounds. Dr. Eugene stayed with us for 2 years before moving out of state. As well as having a busy practice, she also did a lot of community service work. Margo spoke at many churches, schools and area functions. Margo also did football physicals in the summer for Pee Wee football. She did not do this to try to get more patients, she did this because she enjoyed helping others.
Margo worked very hard; she took a genuine interest in her patients. Dr. Prade went to see them at home, in the hospitals and nursing homes. Margo cried sometimes when there was nothing else that could be done for a patient . She never let anything personal get in the way of how she cared for her patients.
I always marveled at her patience with people and her intelligence. She was also active with softball and very involved with her children and their activities. I frequently would ask how she found the time to do all that she did. She was so well thought of in the community, and it was an honor to have worked with Dr. Prade for nine years. We shared our secrets with each other just like sisters would and we also shared our hopes and our dreams. We cried together and we counseled each other. We were truly friends. It also was an honor and a privilege to have worked with her.
The background for this page is the office building Dr. Prade built as depicted on her business cards.
